The now sprawling city of Nazareth sits on the hill overlooking that Valley of Armageddon. Who knew? This city of nearly 100,000 people is much larger than the original 9 acre village of Jesus day, but still holds the beauty of the exact locations where the angel appeared to Mary and where Jesus grew up working in the carpentry shop with Joseph. Nazareth was definitely one of my favorite spots in all of Israel!
